This position sits within the waste and recycling division of a company wholly owned by the London Borough of Hounslow, delivering a wide range of services including waste and recycling, repairs and maintenance, housing, greenspace and leisure services.

Working closely with the Group Head of H&S and the senior management team, as a Health and Safety Business Partner your role will include:
Advising on health and safety across the whole organisation and promoting a positive culture
Reviewing and developing strategy, policies and systems
Ensuring compliance with legislation
Monitoring performance, support audits and inspections
Investigating incidents and developing preventative actions
To be successful as Health and Safety Business Partner you will need:
Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
Experience providing proactive health and safety advice ideally within the waste sector
A professional H&S qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ equivalent
Cert / Charter IOSH qualification
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
