Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Support Practitioner to join our team at Aurora Foxes, Minehead. The role involves working under the supervision of a Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to support students with communication needs through direct therapy, resource management, and assessment support.
Main duties include:
1. Supporting the delivery of speech and language therapy programs.
2. Managing therapy resources.
3. Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
4. Adapting communication styles for effective therapy delivery.
5. Recording observations and progress reports.
6. Maintaining accurate case notes under supervision.
7. Attending training and delivering Elklan courses to achieve the 'Elklan Communication Friendly Setting' award.
8. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Interest and understanding of young people's communication skills.
* Experience working with children or young adults with learning needs.
* Teamwork and liaising with colleagues and agencies.
