Day-to-day of the role:
* Develop and deliver engaging art and photography curriculum tailored to students with special educational needs.
* Foster a creative environment that encourages students to express themselves through various artistic mediums.
* Plan, prepare, and execute lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
* Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback and support to encourage their artistic development.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate art and photography into a broader educational context.
* Organise and manage classroom resources and ensure a tidy and safe environment for all students.
* Participate in school events and exhibitions, showcasing students' work and achievements in art and photography.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Art, Photography, or a related field.
* Experience teaching students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of the latest art and photography techniques and technologies.
* Ability to plan and deliver lessons that are accessible and engaging for SEND students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
* Commitment to professional development and staying updated with educational practices and resources.
