Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with meal preparation and food safety practices. Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces
* Support meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes
* Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations at all times
* Help with serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production
* Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
* Familiarity with catering or restaurant operations is advantageous
* Basic knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable
* A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic setting
