As a Stantec graduate you will collaborate with a team and a wider cohort, develop professional skills and expertise within an interdisciplinary environment, and contribute to exciting projects across the UK and occasionally internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the impact of water company discharges (continuous and intermittent) and the investment needed to improve the status of rivers, seas and sensitive habitats.
  • Use a source‑pathway‑receptor approach to develop robust evidence‑led assessments of pressures and impacts on the water environment, informing integrated catchment management.
  • Promote nature‑based solutions as sustainable and resilient alternatives to traditional engineering solutions.
  • Conceptualise, quantitatively describe and report on environmental water quality systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an environmental‑related discipline.
  • Minimum A Level or equivalent qualification in Maths.
  • Adaptable, able to remain calm in new and changing situations and switch between dynamic tasks.
  • Persistent, staying composed in the face of setbacks and approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
  • Focused, tuning out distractions to perform effectively in any situation.
  • Eager learner, learning from experiences and anticipating how situations may unfold.
  • Collaborator, working effectively with diverse people and considering others’ perspectives to shape better outcomes.

Benefits

  • A competitive salary.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • A range of benefits including holiday buy and sell, group income protection and life assurance.
  • Permanent employment contract.
  • Professional progression plan supporting attainment of professional chartership.
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment and Early Careers peer group.

Application & Eligibility

Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitation.

Please note that graduates are expected to work in the office four days per week to ensure sufficient team interaction and support.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience does not exactly align with the role.
