Job Description
We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Rugby site.
As a Transport Planner, you will contribute to the success of the transport team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning of transport operations. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, experienced in fast-paced environments, and capable of handling daily challenges effectively.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 19:00
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum
Key Duties of a Transport Planner
1. Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create efficient transport plans using the latest TMS.
2. Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads daily.
3. Plan and coordinate orders across multiple warehouses and manufacturing sites in the UK.
4. Manage daily fleet workload based on site and outbases.
5. Report issues and resolve problems promptly.
6. Plan approximately 100 collections daily on a time-critical basis.
7. Maintain and exceed KPIs.
8. Seek continuous improvement opportunities.
9. Make decisions under pressure within tight deadlines.
10. Adapt to changing business needs, especially during peak periods.
11. Utilize the Culina Group network efficiently to support operations.
Qualifications
1. Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
3. Experience planning units across multiple depots.
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
5. Customer-focused with a focus on delivery performance.
6. Financially and commercially astute, driven to achieve results.
7. Experience using a TMS system.
8. Experience in an FMCG environment.
9. Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
