Job Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated and skilled Craft Technician to join our team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our small workshop, and the delivery of specific processes in the creation of high-quality craft items.
This role is about working collaboratively to a high standard with great self-motivation, suiting someone with a desire for a flexible workstyle.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for organising and completing your work to meet deadlines.
* May involve assisting with the set-up of a new workspace
* Production: Leading the finishing of a range of primarily plaster-based products for exclusive home interiors to an exceptionally high standard. Skills required include cutting, shaping, painting, balancing, assembly, and packing.
* Quality: Perform goods-in checks and supplier returns or remediation work. In addition to a final QA stage, the Craft Technician will ensure high quality through-out the process and work to correct faults during production. Occasionally items may be returned from customers for re-work.
* Communication: Maintaining clear and effective communication with 3rd party craftspeople, other stakeholders and potentially clients regarding project requirements, progress, and any issues that may arise.
* Equipment Maintenance: Setting up and maintaining a variety of tools, machinery, and equipment used in the production process.
* Workspace Management: Ensuring spaces are clean, organized, and safe, including managing materials and resources.
* Technical Support: Providing technical assistance to the creative director, including troubleshooting equipment issues and demonstrating proper usage of tools and machinery.
* Material Management: Overseeing the procurement, storage, and organization of materials used in the production process.
* Health and Safety: Maintaining and adhering to health and safety protocols in the workspace and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations or guidelines.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £200.00-£300.00 per week
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
