YMCA Heart of England are looking for a Life Coach (Support Worker) to join the team, based predominantly in Aston, Birmingham. Working on a full time, permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £28,293.77 per annum. About the Life Coach (Support Worker) role You will be required to effectively access and implement a programme of support within the Adult Social Care framework. You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks ranging from assisting in the processing and assessment of applications to be housed at the scheme to void checks. It will also involve supporting the team to deliver a high-quality rent collection and arrears recovery service, whilst ensuring accurate records are kept on each tenant using our internal support and housing management system. You will need the ability to handle resident issues, such as anti-social behaviour. To excel in this role, you will need experience in housing management or supported housing and income management or debt recovery/collection (preferably in a social housing environment), and a working knowledge of housing issues and legislation, particularly pertaining to homelessness. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, question and influence when needed.
