Streamline Recruitment are working with a well-established logistics business who are looking to appoint a Import/Export Road Operations Manager at their site in Thurrock.
This is a hands-on role, leading a small team with a focus on improving operational efficiency, implementing effective processes, and driving profitability — all while ensuring exceptional customer service. You'll also take ownership of compliance across import/export procedures, support ongoing team development, and play a key role in the next phase of operational growth.
The Role:
* Oversee the day-to-day running of road freight operations, import & export.
* Manage and develop a small team, including appraisals, reviews, and disciplinaries
* Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, H&S, and ISO standards
* Identify and implement process improvements across the operation
* Collaborate closely with warehousing and contract logistics teams
* Attend client meetings and contribute to business reviews and wider strategy
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a freight or european transport management role
* Strong understanding of import/export operations and procedures
* Confident team leader with a track record of supporting development and driving change
Hours:
Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week
Salary & Benefits:
