Overview
PTS Site Supervisor (Rail & Civils) – Location: Site-based across North West & Central. Regional Office: Warrington.
The Role
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the planning and successful delivery of our projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing day-to-day site operations, supervising direct and subcontracted teams
* Ensuring Health, Safety, and Welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Supervisors Health and Safety Responsibility Statement
* Implementing all company and client health, safety, and environmental initiatives
* Reporting and addressing any unsafe practices
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and best practices
* Leading, supervising, and utilising resources effectively to meet project goals
* Delivering projects on time and within budget, compliant with all relevant legislation, contract terms, and safety/environmental plans
* Ensuring quality standards are met first time, every time
* Monitoring progress and managing scope changes
* Maintaining accurate records (diaries, allocation sheets, plant logs)
* Providing regular progress reports to the Project Manager/Site Agent
* Escalating unresolved issues appropriately
* Identifying training needs for operational personnel
Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Previous railway experience as a Supervisor in civils projects
* Valid PTS certification
* COSS
* SSSTS
* Demonstrable experience and competencies relevant to the rail industry
* A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in civil engineering
