RM Recruit is working in partnership with a reputable and values-driven organisation based in the West Midlands to recruit a Transactional Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented finance professional to lead a key transactional finance function within a progressive, purpose-led environment. Reporting to the Director of Finance and leading a dedicated finance transactions team, you will be responsible for overseeing core financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Cashbook Management, and Income Allocations. You will champion financial controls, team performance and continuous process improvement across the department. Main duties include: * Lead and manage a multi-functional finance transactions team, fostering a culture of high performance, ownership, and delivery. * Oversee all transactional finance processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reconciliations. * Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and that audit trails are robust and well documented. * Develop and maintain financial controls, process documentation, and ensure policies are aligned with best practice and legislation. * Collaborate cross-functionally to build trust in finance systems, drive efficiencies, and promote understanding of key processes. * Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to financial policies and timelines. * Implement performance metrics and reporting frameworks to measure team impact and identify opportunities for improvement. * Support with the roll-out and testing of system enhancements or new financial platforms. * Contribute to wider finance transformation and process improvement projects. As the ideal candidate, you will have proven experience managing finance transactional functions in a medium to large organisation. You will possess a strong track record of leading, developing, and motivating finance teams and be familiar with end-to-end purchase and sales ledger, credit control, and cash management. You will be be competent using and improving systems and will be a proven and effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and strong relationship-building skills.
