What skills and experience we’re looking for
Salary: Teacher Scales. Contract: Maternity, full time. This is a fixed‑term maternity cover position, expected to continue until the return of the postholder or 31 August 2027, whichever is sooner. Closing Date: Thursday 7th May 2026 at 9am. Start Date: Assumed start date 1st September 2026.

This is a maternity cover basis (fixed term) and offers a key role within an established and supportive department, ensuring continuity of high‑quality teaching and learning for our students.

What the role involves in a nutshell
* To deliver high quality curriculum provision through effective teaching and learning of English.
* To carry out the professional duties of a qualified teacher as identified in the DfE Teachers’ Standards.
* Set appropriate and demanding expectations for students’ learning, motivation, and presentation of work.
* Set high expectations for student behaviour to create a purposeful working atmosphere and a safe and respectful classroom environment that supports the learning of all students.
