PS233700 - Specialist Doctor in Trauma & Orthopaedics
Position: Specialist Doctor in Trauma & Orthopaedics at NHS Scotland – Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, Moray.
We are recruiting one full‑time permanent doctor (10 PA’s) to join a team of four Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Location
Elgin, county town of Moray – an area of outstanding natural beauty with a high quality of life, excellent schools, affordable housing and superb recreational facilities.
Hospital background
Dr Gray’s Hospital serves a population of about 132,000, providing emergency and elective surgical services. The hospital works closely with Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a tertiary referral and major trauma centre.
Teaching
Supporting staff include one Specialist Trainee, one Core Trainee and four Foundation Doctors. The hospital has a strong association with the University of Aberdeen and takes final‑year medical students.
Qualifications
Full registration with the GMC, licence to practise in place before starting the post.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Consultant Surgeons in performing trauma and orthopaedic procedures, manage emergency cases, and contribute to the clinical governance and training of junior staff.
