Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band Community Psychiatric Nurse within the Anglesey Substance Misuse Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive assessment and treatment interventions for individuals who misuse substances, including risk assessment, substance use, social care, and psychological effects. The role involves working as an autonomous practitioner in community settings, including clients’ homes. The post holder will manage a caseload, support individuals through their treatment, and supervise junior staff members.
Main duties of the job
The post holder should have knowledge and experience of substance misuse interventions and treatment. Effective communication skills are essential to engage and motivate service users, maintain contact, and develop and evaluate treatment programs. Induction will be tailored to individual needs. The role involves working with both alcohol and drug misuse service users. Candidates should use the 'Supporting Information' section on the application form to explain their reasons for applying and their suitability, referring to the person specification. Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
