All about the role: As a Family Navigator, you will be a key part of the local community support network, helping families access the right services at the right time. You will work across Family Hub flagship buildings and community venues, acting as a visible, approachable presence for families and partner organisations. Help families, children and young people navigate the range of services available across the Family Hub network. Build strong partnerships with schools, early years settings, health services, and community groups. Advocate for families to ensure they receiveappropriate supportand overcome barriers. Maintainaccurate,confidentialand analytical records of family contact and outcomes. Promote Family Hub services through community engagement, including social media and local events. Support co-production activities with families and colleagues to shape local services. Map community resources and work with partners to strengthen local support pathways. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, healthprofessionalsand educators. Support Family Hub Practitioners by connecting families toadditionalcommunity resources. Attend community meetings, occasionally deputising for senior navigators. Promote volunteering opportunities to help strengthen local community resilience About you: NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a relevant field such as health, social care, family studies, youthworkor community development. Experience working with families or communities in supportive or outreach-based roles. Strong communicationskills with the ability to build trust and rapport. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of partners and services. Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, localservicesand the challenges families may face. Strong organisational, problem-solving and advocacy skills. Empathy, culturalsensitivityand a non-judgmental approach. Ability to travel regularly across the service area; occasional regional or national travel may berequired.
