Watkins Electrical is a growing electrical and renewable energy company delivering domestic and commercial electrical installations, testing, and solar PV systems. As our portfolio of commercial projects continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to oversee projects, manage teams, and ensure the highest standards of delivery.
The Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing electrical contracts from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role requires strong experience in both domestic and commercial electrical installations, testing, and renewable energy systems, with solar PV experience considered a major advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee commercial electrical contracts from start to finish
* Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
* Manage and support teams of electricians, subcontractors, and site staff
* Ensure compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations and industry standards
* Oversee electrical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning
* Conduct site visits, progress reviews, and quality inspections
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
* Monitor project budgets, timelines, and performance
* Support the delivery and growth of solar PV and renewable energy projects
Requirements
* Proven experience in commercial electrical contract management
* Strong background in domestic and commercial electrical installations and testing
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and electrical compliance
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
Desirable Skills
* Experience managing solar PV installations and renewable energy projects
* Experience with large-scale commercial electrical projects
* Strong understanding of project management and contract delivery
