An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Addictions Service Manager to lead the launch and ongoing development of a brand-new residential addiction recovery service in the East Midlands.
This role offers the chance to shape a new service from the ground up, establishing a positive culture, building a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional outcomes for individuals on their recovery journey.
The service will provide a therapy-led, residential recovery programme within a supportive and therapeutic environment, focused on empowering individuals to achieve sustainable, long-term recovery.
The Role
As Residential Addictions Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and operational performance.
Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping service delivery, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring excellent outcomes for those accessing support.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operational management of a residential addiction recovery service.
* Build, develop, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, promoting a positive and recovery-focused culture.
* Ensure high standards of care, safety, and service delivery are maintained at all times.
* Support individuals with substance misuse challenges and, where appropriate, co-occurring mental health or neurodiverse needs.
* Oversee safeguarding, risk management, incident reporting, and quality assurance processes.
* Monitor service performance, staffing levels, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and best practice standards.
* Develop effective relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and partner organisations.
* Contribute to service development initiatives and continuous quality improvement activities.
* Promote a therapeutic environment that supports meaningful and lasting recovery outcomes.

Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a resilient and compassionate leader with experience in addiction recovery, mental health, or related residential services.
Essential Experience and Skills
* Previous experience within residential addiction services, mental health services, or dual-diagnosis settings.
* Strong understanding of substance misuse, recovery models, and trauma-informed approaches.
* Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience managing safeguarding concerns, risk assessments, and complex client needs.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards within health and social care services.
* Experience overseeing operational performance, staffing, and service delivery.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A compassionate, person-centred, and non-judgemental approach to care.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

* Professional registration with a recognised healthcare or social care body.
* Experience within therapy-led or non-medical treatment environments.
