ROV Pilot Technician I – Subsea Cables

Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance and repairs on trenching or plough systems on board vessels or at the Boskalis Waalhaven Center.
* Launch, recover and operate the ROV or plough from the surface control cabin, typically in poor visibility conditions.
* Operate equipment such as jetting and mechanical cutting devices, cameras, sonars, navigation systems, and interpret sensor data.
* Assist in completing reports, administration and preparing technical procedures (daily reports, work procedures, risk analyses, permits).
* Plan, safely execute and register planned maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with company procedures.
* Communicate efficiently with the offshore project team at different levels.
Qualifications
* At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
* Experience working with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanics.
* Experience with jetting/mechanical trenching and/or ploughing required.
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering.
* A team‑player mentality with leadership tendencies.
* Willingness to travel globally on a flexible rotational basis.
* Good communication skills and strong command of written and spoken English.
