Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous, along with skills in customer service and cooking. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the Domestic/Laundry team and set daily routine
* Overseeand manage Domestic / Laundry rota
* Monitor documentation of Domestic /Laundry departaments
* Supervize every 3 months staff from Domestic /Laundry departaments
* Have knoledge of COSHH and review related documentation file
* Monitor cleaning equipament supply and place orders as needed.
* Offer support to the Cleaning /Laundry staff to maintain work flow and daily duties.
* Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
* Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, mopped, and disinfected according to company standards
* Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed
* Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising linens and clothing
* Prepare light meals or snacks if required, demonstrating basic cooking skills
* Provide excellent customer service by attending to guest or client requests promptly and courteously
* Maintain a high level of organisation within storage areas and cleaning supplies
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
* Previous experience in carehomes/nursing homes/hospital desirable but not essential
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
* Ability to work independently with a good eye for good cleaning standards
* Organised with excellent attention to detail
* Educating staff on cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£12.40 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
