Working Hours & Availability
This is an all year round role (not term-time only). Applicants must be available to work shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm, to accommodate the nursery's opening times. Working patterns are set on a rota basis and discussed in advance.

Job Role and Responsibilities
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children aged 0–5 years. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, and educational development
* Observing and assessing children's progress and maintaining accurate records
* Building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team
* Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
* Contributing to team meetings, training, and continuous professional development
* Supporting the nursery's values of inclusivity, kindness, and community
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years Education (or working towards)
* Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development
* Friendly, nurturing, and approachable
* A strong team player with good communication and organisational skills
* Knowledgeable about EYFS principles, safeguarding, and health & safety

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and developing the early learning experiences of children in our care. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational environment that promotes the holistic development of young children.
Duties
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
* Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children and their families.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
* Maintain effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting positive interactions among children.
* Collaborate with other educators to develop a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and support staff effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes related to educational outings or activities.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
