Location and setup
Hybrid working in Hertfordshire, with regular on-site attendance required due to the nature of the work.
What you will be doing
- Support the introduction of new test systems and facilities from development through to production readiness
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic test issues at system, sub-assembly and circuit card level
- Develop test specifications, operator instructions and supporting technical documentation
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and operational teams to overcome technical challenges
- Contribute to production readiness activities and ensure appropriate configuration control is maintained
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
Skills and background
- HNC, HND, degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Significant experience in electronics manufacture, test and fault finding
- Strong understanding of electrical, electronic and RF measurement principles
- Experience supporting product development lifecycles within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to prioritise multiple technical activities and deliver against project objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing technical reports and instructions
Essential requirements
- Able to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
- Strong background in electronic test engineering covering digital, analogue and RF technologies
- Experience supporting products through development and manufacturing environments
- Able to produce technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders
