Responsibilities
* Seek and safeguard accountability, transparency and compliance across the College Group.
* Report to the Chair of Governors and provide impartial advice to the Governing Body.
* Lead statutory compliance in governance, whistleblowing and data protection, and act as Whistleblowing Lead and Data Protection Officer.
* Organise Board meetings, oversee governor appointments, support succession planning, and maintain statutory records.
* Provide Company Secretary support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
* Liaise with regulators and external stakeholders to ensure best practice and robust governance.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of governance and legal frameworks, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to equality and safeguarding.
Qualifications / Skills
* Experience as Director of Governance or in a senior governance/compliance role.
* Strong knowledge of governance and legal frameworks relevant to a college group.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Commitment to equality and safeguarding.
