About the role
The Complex Care Assistant role supports a client with a brain injury and cognitive impairment, helping them live life to the fullest in their own home while maintaining independence and wellbeing. The role requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
* Drive the client safely to appointments and activities.
* Provide full support with mobility and repositioning, working confidently with specialist equipment including a ceiling track hoist and wheelchair.
* Support the client with hobbies, interests and a great sense of humour.
* Maintain client independence, wellbeing and dignity.
Employment details
Contract: Zero‑hours
Positions available: Two (24 hours each per week – mostly days with occasional nights; flexible to cover both)
Shifts: Monday–Sunday • 08:00–20:00 (days) • 20:00–08:00 (nights)
Driver required: You must be able to drive the client safely.
Dog in the home: Comfortable around pets (Labrador).

Qualifications and experience
* Basic care experience is required; complex care experience is desirable.
* Confident driving clients safely.
* Willingness to learn new skills and upskill in complex care.
* Compassionate, patient, emotionally resilient.
* Strong communicator and team player.
* Flexible to work both day and night shifts.
