We're looking for a hands-on Senior
Infrastructure Engineer
with deep experience across
Linux, Windows Server, and VMware
to join a forward-thinking engineering team tackling some of the most critical challenges in enterprise IT:
security, patching, and technical debt .
This isn't just another BAU role. You'll be instrumental in
modernising legacy systems ,
automating patching pipelines, and
hardening infrastructure
to meet evolving compliance and security standards.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading patching and remediation efforts across mixed OS environments.
Identifying and resolving technical debt in legacy infrastructure.
Supporting secure builds and configuration baselines for Windows and Linux platforms.
Collaborating with platform and security teams to improve automation and compliance.
Working with VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi) to optimise performance and reliability.
Producing clear documentation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in
enterprise infrastructure engineering
(Linux, Windows Server, VMware).
Strong understanding of
security hardening ,
vulnerability management, and
compliance frameworks
(e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
Hands-on experience with
patching tools
(SCCM, WSUS, Satellite, Ansible).
Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Ability to assess and remediate technical debt in complex environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.
