Head of Content - B2B Exhibition Location: Guildford (hybrid) Hours: Full-time; flexible working considered. Compensation: £68,000 OTE (subject to experience) Why this is worth switching jobs Build the flagship from the inside. Design the content engine for a major new addition to a leading organiser’s portfolio - an international, trade-only expo with a multi-hall footprint and serious board-level attention. Own the market conversation. Your agenda will set what brands launch, what buyers prioritise and what the media covers - across product innovation, sustainability, supply chain, retail & e-commerce, and culture/brand storytelling. Run a programme that moves needles. Multiple show-floor theatres, a full-day standalone conference, curated partner forums over three high-intensity days, plus a year-round digital layer. Commercially central, not a side show. Remit tied to growth KPIs: qualified buyer attendance, session utilisation, sponsor lead quality, content NPS and renewal uplift. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Content Director, event MD, sales and marketing leaders. Flex built in. Hybrid working, accountability-over-hours culture, and a supportive, multi-award-winning team. What you’ll lead Editorial ownership of pillars, tracks and formats that convert into registrations, footfall and high-value meetings. Speaker strategy & relations : mapping, securing and coaching headline voices across brands, retailers/marketplaces, manufacturers/suppliers, technology, investors and creators; contracts, briefings and on-site care. Programme design & delivery : third-party conferences, show-floor theatres and a one-day standalone conference; agenda structure, format innovation and production quality. Partner content & showcases : with associations, federations, media and sponsors to create must-attend summits, buyer tours and demo zones. Measurement & optimisation : set and report KPIs (track attendance, session saturation, NPS, sponsor lead yield), driving continuous improvement each edition. 365 machine : turn live IP into articles, reports, webinars and community programming that feed audience and pipeline all year. The scale of the job Event : large-scale, International, trade-only expo; multi-hall footprint; international audience from 50 countries spanning brands, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and media. Programme size targets : 100–120 sessions, 80–120 speakers, 4–6 stages, award/showcase theatre, buyer tours and live demos across 3 show days. Stakeholders : sales, marketing, operations, production, awards, PR/digital; plus advisory boards and strategic partners. Your success will be measured by : qualified buyer growth, session attendance, NPS, sponsorship, press/social reach, award engagement and exhibitor rebooks. About you 5 years leading content for large-scale B2B exhibitions/conferences. Proven record working with high-profile speakers, advisory boards and strategic partners, delivering complex multi-stage programmes on time. Editorially sharp and commercially wired; confident tying agenda choices to registration and revenue outcomes. Team leader who’s organised, proactive and calm on site; excellent copy instincts and stakeholder management.
