Senior Structural Engineer
Leeds
We're working with an independent Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy that has built an excellent reputation for delivering complex building structures projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a growing portfolio of high-profile developments, they are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Leeds office.
This is an opportunity to join a Consultancy that genuinely operates at the more technically challenging end of the market. Their workload includes a broad mix of projects ranging from schools and education developments through to major urban regeneration schemes, high-rise residential towers and constrained city centre developments. Current projects include involvement in the Eastgate regeneration project, which features a 64-storey tower, alongside a number of education schemes being delivered with BAM and other leading contractors.
They are looking for an engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and wants to be involved in projects where structural design is rarely straightforward. Much of their work involves constrained sites, refurbishment and regeneration schemes, challenging ground conditions and intricate construction sequences, requiring engineers who can think beyond standard design solutions.
The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, managing programmes, coordinating with clients and design teams, and overseeing the technical delivery of structural solutions. Whilst this is a technically focused role, the ability to build relationships and communicate confidently with clients, architects and contractors is equally important.
You will be involved in the design and delivery of projects across a range of structural materials and sectors, whilst working closely with a highly experienced team that prides itself on delivering practical, commercially aware engineering solutions.
Ideally, you will be an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a background in buildings structures consultancy, capable of running projects independently and comfortable taking responsibility for both technical delivery and client interaction. Experience of complex structures, urban regeneration projects, high-rise developments or heavily constrained sites would be particularly advantageous.
