We are currently looking for a Car Fleet Manager who will lead and continuously improve the Car Fleet function, delivering an employee-focused, compliant, efficient and cost-effective fleet service. The role is accountable for all aspects of our large car and fleet management, including policy governance, supplier management, driver compliance, fleet optimisation, data insight and sustainability performance, together with management of the Car Fleet team.
As the Car Fleet Manager, you will:
1. Lead and develop the Car Fleet team, ensuring high service standards, accuracy and achievement of agreed SLAs and KPIs.
2. Lead the car fleet team carrying out monthly 121’s supported by goal and development planning. Providing feedback and support to maximise team performance.
3. Drive for continuous improvement in regard to processes and systems within your area
4. Develop and utilise optimal solutions to complex ad-hoc problems / challenges as and when required
5. Own, review and maintain fleet-related policies including Company Car, Car Allowance and Occasional Use.
6. Work closely with other teams such as hrdirect and Data, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Pension, Resourcing, Reward and hrSystems teams providing and owning solutions related to Car Fleet.
7. Support the HR Service Delivery Director in planning and prioritising HR initiatives
8. Negotiate with suppliers – building on their network and relationships with suppliers/clients in line with Skanska values, to ensure that savings that are achieved are positive for the business
We are looking for:
9. Proven Leadership experience within a large in-house Car fleet team and large company car fleet
10. Previous team management experience of the full performance management cycle.
11. Fellow of the Association of Fleet Professionals (FAFP) or equivalent recognised fleet qualification. or working towards.
12. Working knowledge of Key2, iTrent etc
13. Excellent customer service skills
14. A strong communicator both verbally and in writing
15. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
16. Experience of all MS Office packages in particular Word, Outlook and Excel

This role requires you to be on site (Leavesden) 3-4 days a week.
