Job title: Senior Operational Buyer

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Operational Buyer. You will be involved in all aspects of Direct Procurement activity, ensuring the efficient management of procurement processes and alignment with business targets. This is a role for a proactive, solution-seeking 'fixer' who thrives in a complex, fast-changing environment and can operate with minimal supervision. Some of the duties will include but are not limited to:
* Oversee a diverse supplier portfolio, driving initial part sourcing activities and managing commercial negotiations, including price adjustment requests
* Resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies promptly to ensure smooth supplier relations.
* Manage a high-volume work queue and ensure Purchase Orders (POs) are issued accurately and in due time
* Foster close cooperation with Internal Customers (e.g., MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early procurement involvement
* Contribute to the implementation and ensure the compliant usage of globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)
* Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities
* Support Supplier Management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification)
* Maintain and update supplier evaluation systems to identify and develop the best suppliers, ensuring transparency and high procurement quality
* Ensure accurate maintenance of all documentation and adherence to online purchasing and contract management systems
What You Bring
* 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement in a large-scale industrial or complex product manufacturing environment
* Strong SAP transactional experience (PS1 ATLAS module, production environment is highly preferred)
* Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to work with and synthesize big volumes of information
* Exceptional proficiency in Excel and PowerBI for analysis and reporting
* A strong understanding of a lean approach to procurement and operations
* Preference for candidates with experience in aerospace/industrial or similar
* Knowledge of complex manufactured products such as castings and forgings is highly advantageous
* Team player with the ability to work effectively and independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives
* Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-changing global organizational environment
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
