Roles and Responsibility as a Care Assistant: Companionship - spending quality time with your client, and being a friendly, familiar face. Home Help / Meal Preparation assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, cooking simple meal or prepare their ready meals. Medication Support reminding or assisting with taking medications. Personal Hygiene supporting with dressing, undressing, toileting and bathing. Getting Out and About accompanying them to the shops, a café, garden centre, or just a walk for fresh air. Skill set required for a Care Assistant Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with clients in a friendly manner. Flexibility for alternative weekend.
