Senior Day Production Engineer Barnsley Plant Role description
To control and monitor Hot End Production to achieve maximum efficiency and quality standards, via effective use of labour and equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee job changes
* Monitor production performance and delegate to others to correct problems and improve performance.
* Diagnose and solve production problems.
* Participate in Job On Job Off meetings, monitor and control JoJo input.
* Assist with development of new jobs from trial to full production
* Take responsibility for the implementation of Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations, Procedures and Working Practices and 5s Principles.
* Implement/monitor and update risk assessments
Required skills / qualifications:
* At least 5 years’ experience of managing manufacturing processes in the glass industry
* Understanding of the customer and quality impact of production decisions
* Six Sigma, Green Belt certified or above
* Basic Knowledge of Xpar systems and set up
