The role:
To provide support to the Integrated Services Manager in ensuring the delivery and quality of Domestic and catering Services.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
37‑hour post. This post will be based within Vale of Leven Hospital. Hours will be worked over Monday. Thursday–08.30-04.30. Friday – 08:00-03:30.
Key responsibilities
The post holder is to oversee and organise and assist in the management of an effective and efficient Domestic and Catering Service, which fully supports delivery of clinical services. The post holder is responsible for ensuring best value is achieved and all procedures and legal requirements are complied with, to assist/respond to day to day management issues as directed by the Integrated Services Manager.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
* A facilities qualification, e.g., City & Guilds Part 1 and 2, Institutional Management Qualification, HND, or equivalent.
* BICS Certificate.
* ILM qualification.
* SVQ Level 3.
* Yellow Book Course or equivalent.
* Elementary Certificate in Food Hygiene and Safety.
* Experience in Domestic Services is essential.
* Managing Safely – Institute of Occupational Safety & Health.
* Practical operational experience.
* Good communication and listening skills.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Willingness to change, adapt, and be flexible.
* IT skills.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part‑time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
