School Based Counsellor (Fixed Term)

We are seeking a qualified counsellor to work with children and young people within Bridgend County Borough school venues. The counsellor will require an in-depth knowledge of evidenced-based approaches to improving emotional wellbeing of children and young people in Bridgend. The successful candidate will possess the drive to improve sustainable outcomes for children and young people facing multiple and complex difficulties.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Children's Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post.
