Youth Worker – Secondary School (Levenshulme) Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Rate: £89 – £100 Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges and reach their full potential? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a dedicated and resilient Youth Worker to join their pastoral and support team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident, empathetic, and experienced in working with teenagers who may be at risk of disengagement, exclusion, or social-emotional difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Build trusted relationships with students, offering guidance, support, and positive role modelling Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students with behavioural, emotional, or attendance issues Support school-wide wellbeing and behaviour strategies Liaise with pastoral teams, SENCOs, families, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support Promote positive choices, resilience, and engagement with learning The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, or community settings Calm, confident, and able to de-escalate challenging behaviour Passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of safeguarding, SEMH needs, and trauma-informed practice is desirable What the School Offers: A committed pastoral and leadership team Opportunities for CPD and career progression into education, mentoring or family support roles A diverse, inclusive school environment with a strong community ethos Competitive daily rate: £89–£100 Apply now to help change lives and shape futures in a welcoming secondary school in Levenshulme.
