Overview Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or SEN Learning Support Assistant who enjoys supporting pupils in upper KS2? This full-time Year 6 role in Ribbleton, Preston is a strong September opportunity for someone confident, proactive and able to support pupils through an important final year of primary school. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support learning, classroom routines and pupils with Special Educational Needs. Year 6 is a key stage for pupils as they prepare for end-of-key-stage assessments and the move to secondary school, so this role would suit someone calm, consistent and confident in a busy classroom. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the school's curriculum and expectations. Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development within the Primary setting. Maintain effective classroom management and a productive learning atmosphere. Follow all safeguarding and reporting protocols required by the school. Candidate Profile Relevant qualifications for a Teaching Assistant (e.g., QTS or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to the Primary sector. Reliability, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.
