CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time
DEPARTMENT: BBC Nations, BBC Corporate and Community Affairs (Northern Ireland)
LOCATION: Broadcasting House, Belfast
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £45,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Join the BBC's Corporate Affairs team in Northern Ireland in a newly created role that's all about community engagement. You'll have responsibility for special BBC projects and events, helping to support the BBC's local partnerships and stakeholder liaison. You'll also help to facilitate our conversation with audiences about BBC Charter Review. You will work closely BBC editorial teams, promoting their work and the difference that it makes to community life and be part of UK-wide initiatives.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
The development and delivery of BBC Corporate activities and events, including stakeholder engagement
Work to support local BBC partnerships, extending their reach, impact and effectiveness
The planning and delivery of activities linked to BBC Charter review
The development of briefing papers on key issues affecting the BBC's work in Northern Ireland and Corporate correspondence
Work to support the Head of Corporate and Community Affairs with stakeholder liaison, BBC accountability and special projects
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Strong background in the development and delivery of events for diverse audiences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience of producing concise written briefs
A developed interest in the BBC's work, including its output, governance and local political context
The ability to think/work strategically, prioritising effort and resources and delivering against deadlines
Experience in the use of digital media to promote activities and events
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Experience in dealing with audience/customer complaints
Experience of handling FOIA requests and related issues
