Role Requirements:
* Pay: £30 - £35 per hour
* DBS on Update: Must have an up-to-date DBS check.
* Subjects: English
* Location: Brent and surrounding areas.

Experience &Skills:
* Prior experience in teaching or tutoring English (may vary based on the position).
* Experience with different age groups or learning levels (e.g., elementary, high school, or adult learners).
* Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
* Patience and a positive attitude to support student progress.
* Proficiency in grammar, literature, and writing.
This tutor role involves:
* planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
* plan and deliver engaging sessions.
* apply skills to raise pupils' confidence.
* manage children with challenging behaviour.
* track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports.
* potentially engage in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student,
* learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.
Responsibilities:
* Instruction:
o Plan and deliver lessons based on the student's needs and goals.
o Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
* Assessment:
o Monitor and assess students' progress regularly.
o Provide feedback on assignments, tests, and speaking exercises.
* Customization:
o Tailor lessons to suit each student's individual learning style and pace.
o Prepare and adjust teaching materials accordingly.
* Student Support:
o Encourage students' motivation and confidence in using English.
o Provide assistance with homework, exam preparation, and project work.
* Communication:
o Regularly update parents, guardians, or supervisors on student progress.
o Provide constructive feedback and suggest improvement strategies.
* Continuous Learning:
o Stay updated on the latest teaching methods, tools, and resources.
o Participate in training or professional development opportunities as needed.
