Role Overview
As Sous Chef at Soho House Manchester, you will lead the kitchen team, develop menu options with the Executive and Head Chef, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and contribute to a seasonal, member‑focused dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit, train and develop new kitchen staff.
* Collaborate with the Executive and Head Chef to create and refine menu options.
* Ensure seasonal, relevant and appealing food offerings for members and guests.
* Maintain HACCP standards and an in‑depth health and safety knowledge.
* Support operations across varying shift times, including evenings, weekends, opens and closes.
Qualifications
* 1‑2 years’ experience in a busy, high‑profile kitchen.
* Strong communication skills and a team‑player mindset.
* Reliable, punctual, trustworthy and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
* Passionate about food and beverage and adaptable to opening and closing shifts when required.

Working Hours
* Varying shift times across the seven days, including evenings, weekends, opens & closes.
* Average 45 hours per week.
Physical Requirements
* Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand.
* Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
* Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.

Soho House Manchester, St John’s area, former Granada Studios, 5 floors, extensive gym, steam room, sauna, rooftop pool, bar, late‑night bar, live music space, casual lounge areas on the 8th floor, members’ restaurant, 23 bedrooms on the 6th floor.
