Job Title: Management Accountant Location: Gillingham, Kent Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and decision-making process of our organization. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data, providing insights to support strategic planning, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting:
1. Prepare and manage all aspects of the company's financial management accounts and budgets.
2. Provide accurate and timely analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for effective decision-making.
3. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards Performance Analysis:
4. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
5. Identify and resolve issues related to cash flow and working capital efficiency.
6. Evaluate the cost/benefit of major capital expenditures and present recommendations to the directors.
Qualifications and Skills:
7. Qualified (ACCA / ACA) or equivalent, with a strong understanding of financial principles.
8. Proficiency in computer and accounting software, including Excel (pivot tables and V-Lookup).
9. Effective written and oral communication skills.
10. Ability to present accurate data in a concise and logical manner.
Personal Attributes:
11. High level of integrity and ability to operate independently.
12. Proven track record in a similar finance role.
13. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
