Working within Corporate Property Services, you will be part of the Capital Projects Team creating, maintaining and improving properties by delivering projects to a high standard from inception to completion, including the administration of contracts, with the relevant approvals and documentation in place. You will manage project risks and opportunities, minimise costs and disruption, ensuring that the Council is compliant at all times. You will be responsible for leading and managing the design and delivery of multi-disciplinary property / construction projects across the Council s assets, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will develop and maintain relationships with all external bodies including developers, service providers, government agencies and collaborate with partners and consultants to deliver accurate site plans, designs and costs, ensuring appropriate governance. You will lead the health and safety culture on allocated projects by effectively communicating, managing and mitigating project risks and maximising opportunities. You will also carry out value for money exercises and technical appraisals on projects and proposals from third parties. About You Alongside a project management qualification or equivalent experience, you ll need to be able to clearly scope and plan projects and ensure projects are supported by the right governance. Having experience delivering projects in the construction field or within local government/public sector property projects is a benefit but not essential. You need to be able to understand what makes a project worth doing and lead the project team around this shared vision. You ll be able to manage the risks and issues affecting the project, as well as monitor the project finances and resources. You ll need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the relevant stakeholders involved in the project. Having experience of working on local government / public sector property projects is a benefit but not essential.
