Job Overview
Frimley Health Foundation Trust has two neonatal units: one at Frimley Park Hospital and the other at Wexham Park Hospital. Both are local neonatal units with 16 and 17 cots respectively, comprising 2 Intensive Care, 3 High Dependency, and 12 Special Care cots. The units care for babies over 26+6 weeks gestation and stabilize any babies under that gestation for transfer to a tertiary hospital/NICU.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse to join our team and develop the role of neonatal governance lead across our two units, managing clinical risk, governance, and improving 'Badgernet' data quality.
Main Duties of the Job
The Neonatal Governance Lead will be responsible for investigating significant events and serious incidents within the neonatal service. This includes root cause analyses, human factors principles, and developing action plans. You will support staff in understanding and learning from incidents, monitor the implementation of actions, and contribute to the wider governance framework.
Working for Our Organisation
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to inclusion and has been awarded the Gold for the Armed Forces Employment Recognition Scheme. We offer development opportunities, professional training, and promote a healthy work-life balance. We encourage applications for flexible working arrangements.
