New roles for our community transformation?
We have two new posts in the first contact practitioner structure and are seeking an enthusiastic and effective manager and clinical lead to provide managerial and clinical leadership to develop our First Contact Practitioner service in Black Country Healthcare, Sandwell & Walsall localities.
Main duties of the job
1. Developing services and enabling first contact practitioners for mental health to impact people from the point of first presentation in the Primary Care setting. This is an exciting opportunity to build, develop, and lead teams within the Primary Care networks, establishing relationships with GPs and practice teams, while supporting pathways to ensure access to the right care at the right time and place. There will also be involvement with the developing Integrated Neighbourhood Care Teams and established Towns Teams.
2. As the FCP manager, your role will focus on delivering excellent mental health services, supporting team development, managerial supervision, appraisals, performance management, recruitment, and ensuring timely access and treatment in line with pathways.
3. As the FCP clinical lead, your role will include providing clinical assessments, leading professionals' meetings, clinical supervision, audits, training, and working closely with the PAN Trust Primary Care Mental Health Clinical Lead.

You must demonstrate in your application and interview that you have:
* Skills and knowledge in clinical and team leadership
* Understanding of the FCP role in mental health services
* Experience or leadership in quality improvement and team collaboration across primary and secondary care
* Highly specialist clinical skills in mental health assessment and management, with relevant experience as per the personal specification
The manager role is full-time (37.5 hours/week), with some Saturday requirements. The clinical lead role is 0.5 WTE, also with some Saturday requirements. Both roles are based across two localities, with time spent in GP practices. Ongoing professional development, supervision, appraisals, and training are provided.
