Job Description

Working within the Public Safety business, you will be responsible for defining the policies and standards that guide technology delivery, possessing significant experience in modern, cloud-based technology standards and practices.
As Solution Architect, you are accountable for leading a team of architects and providing architectural design and technology roadmaps for complex Policing and National Security applications supporting high volume, mission-critical products and services. There will also be opportunities to oversee ongoing architectural needs within our Control Room application suites.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Delivery, and Technical Leads to influence and define a technology roadmap to meet both our commercial and technological goals.
The core aim of this role is to provide technical assurance to ensure successful deployment of NECSWS Public Safety products into clients while protecting our commercial position.
Success in this role requires mediating between stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and communicating confidently at all levels. You should understand the evolutionary nature of technology delivery in an agile environment and facilitate discussions on high-risk, complex issues within constrained timescales.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure scope of supply is correctly documented and maintained
2. Identify and manage technical project risks
3. Document and agree on non-functional requirements from customers
4. Conduct impact assessments with practical scope and implementation, utilizing existing products where possible
5. Identify opportunities for selling additional product capabilities
Qualifications
Understanding/awareness of:
* C++, C#, SQL Server, Windows platforms, Domains / AD, Mitel skills based routing integration
Practical knowledge of:
* C coding, SIP protocol, VOIP – RTP / RTCP, latency / jitter handling
In-depth knowledge of:
* Tetra network behaviors (Motorola Dimetra), 3GPP network behaviors (Kodiak MCX), MCX API with Softil SDK, Analogue Radio basestations (VHF, MF), Telephone PABX, Airwave certification processes, EISEC service
Additional Responsibilities
Manage customer relationships, support technical issues, assist in the bid process, promote architectural vision, and lead within the team and across wider business units.
