Community Staff Nurse 0-19 Universal Children’s Services
A Band 5 vacancy for a Registered Nurse/Children's Nurse to work as a Community Staff Nurse within Thurrock and join the Healthy Families service working alongside the Health Visiting and School Health teams. The role offers the opportunity to apply for specialist community public health nursing courses in health visiting or school nursing.
We deliver the 0‑19 Healthy Child Programme and provide quality healthcare services to improve the health and well‑being of the diverse community we serve.
Main Duties
* Work as a registered nurse in multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency settings.
* Actively engage difficult to reach client populations and work closely with families.
* Apply whole‑family approach to care.
* Provide clinical and leadership support and motivation.
Qualifications
BSN or equivalent registered nurse qualification.
Experience in community nursing, health visiting, or school nursing.
Excellent clinical, leadership, motivational skills.
Understanding of policies relating to children.
Ability to work both within a team and independently, forward‑thinking and solution focused.

Working Conditions
New starters will be inducted at our head office in Rainham, Essex, with up to two weeks of training.
The post has a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt.
