About the Role
:
As the Poetry Project Coordinator you will coordinate a series of events at the intersection of contemporary poetry, public engagement, and digital innovation in collaboration with Manchester Writing School, its Creative director Carol Ann Duffy, the wider professoriate and faculty, and the UK's first university-located Poetry Library including: new poetry podcast series developed in collaboration with faculty and Manchester Poetry Library colleagues; a programme of evening poetry events featuring live readings and performances; visual poetry projections in public and university spaces; and continuing to grow the successful Manchester Translation Series.
You will contribute to supporting students, academics and partners to foster a positive work culture, and help shape a vibrant programme of events open to all.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Ensure the professional delivery of high-quality poetry and literature activities in collaboration with Manchester Poetry Library and the Poetry Research Group at Manchester Met.
2. Project management including planning, delivery and evaluation of poetry events and activities.
3. Provide effective and efficient administrative support including contracting.
4. Provide an excellent, accessible and inclusive experience to stakeholders and customer.
