WORKING FOREMAN/WOMAN / SITE MANAGER
£ £25.00 an hour - Full Time, Permanent, Freelance
We have an exciting opportunity here at Modplan Building & Refurbishment Contractors Ltd, based in Arlesey, to join our company that has been trading in excess of 45 years on projects ranging from £5k to £5m, with an immediate start available.
We are offering a salary/wage, dependent on skillset/experience between £ /hr plus benefits for a Working Foreman/Woman or Site Manager, to work on projects throughout Herts/Beds/Bucks/Cambs.
We are looking for someone to join our SME within the Construction Management Team with Site Management experience and preferably with a Trade background.
Role
Supervise the construction team of employees & Supply Chain Members to ensure the project(s) are running smoothly on a day to day basis. Ensuring all jobs are completed to the requirements with regards to time, quality and costs, whilst working closely with contract managers. Getting involved with the site team when required. Dealing with the Health & Safety paperwork ensuring everyone is complying with the health & safety regulations on site. Will also be required to attend meetings with the clients and be responsible for ordering materials for site requirements alongside the Contracts Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* General site management duties.
* Co-ordinating Sub-Contractors
* Ensuring projects are kept on schedule/to programme
* Liaising with both management and the clients team on design issues.
* Updating the daily site diary
* Updating progress reports
* Keeping on top of emails with good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Office
* Carrying out risk assessments/method statements.
* Strong emphasis on maintaining health and safety on site
Personal Specification:
* Previous experience and knowledge within the building industry (small domestic work &/or restoration work preferred for immediate role)
* Experience/knowledge with working on Grade listed/historic buildings preferred
* Professional, polite attitude with strong leadership skills
* Good people management skills
* Able to communicate effectively and politely to the clients team
* Good I.T Skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
* Preferably hold SMSTS
* Emergency first aid at work trained (training can be provided)
* Asbestos awareness trained (training can be provided)
