Learning Support Assistant (HLTA/TA)
Full-Time / Part-Time | £13.68 – £18.00 per hour
Do you enjoy supporting young people and want to play a key role in helping them succeed? We’re looking for enthusiastic and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across Whitby.
This is a flexible opportunity with both long-term and day-to-day roles available, giving you the chance to choose work that fits your lifestyle.
What you’ll do:
* Support pupils in their learning, both one-to-one and in small groups
* Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and meaningful lessons
* Assist in creating a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment
* For HLTAs, lead planned lessons and interventions when required
* Be a role model who inspires confidence and encourages independence
About you:
* Experienced in supporting children within a school or childcare setting
* Patient, adaptable and committed to helping every child reach their potential
* Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach
* HLTA applicants should be confident leading learning activities and supporting the class teacher
