About the Role:
ME+EM are seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our growing Commercial Analysis team. Reporting into the Senior FP&A Manager, you will play a key role in supporting business decision-making through data-driven insights, financial modelling, and performance analysis.
Responsibilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting
* Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecast
* Support the consolidation of budget and forecast submissions across the business
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of budgeting and forecasting outputs
* Maintain and update the forecast model to reflect latest performance and outlook
Commercial Business Partnering
* Partner with teams such as Logistics, E-Commerce, Marketing, Retail & Merchandising to provide financial insight and guidance
* Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand and appropriately challenge underlying assumptions
* Collaborate with the wider Finance team to share information and identify efficiencies
* 'Rest of World' country analysis and forecasting
* Returns forecasting and cost analysis
Reporting and Insight
* Prepare monthly management accounts commentary with variance analysis
* Review performance dashboards for business KPIs
* Provide deep dives into strategic business priorities and reconciliations
* Support with Board reporting and presentations
Skills
Essential:
* Part or fully-qualified accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience
* Strong Excel / Google Sheets modelling skills
* Experience in financial analysis, ideally in retail/ e-commerce
* Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
* Strong communication skills with experience in cross functional business partnering
* Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
* Highly organised and proactive, enabling effective work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
* Experience producing Board-level reporting
* Experience with ERP systems (SAGE, D365)
