Our client, one of the UK's leading independent telecom companies, is seeking a dedicated HR & Operations Administrator. Your role is vital to the business's growth. You will report to the Head of HR and be responsible for:
Main Responsibilities for the Successful HR & Operations Administrator
* Providing a professional first point of contact for employees' HR queries via email, phone, and in person.
* Drafting job specifications, recruitment adverts, and liaising with recruitment agencies to fill vacancies within the group.
* Preparing job offer packs, employee contracts, and setting up workstations for new starters.
* Managing the Employee Privileges scheme, including Birthday Leave and Holiday Advantage.
* Creating induction sessions for new employees to explain company policies.
* Handling all HR administration tasks including onboarding, leavers, transfers, contract updates, and payroll instructions, maintaining accurate electronic files.
* Coordinating end-of-probation and performance reviews, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
* Managing HR document returns and updates.
* Owning Bright HR system tasks such as managing bank holidays, sickness, and other absences.
* Taking minutes for hearings and HR meetings, including disciplinary actions.
* Developing protocols for joiners and leavers, including feedback practices.
* Producing HR management reports as needed.
* Arranging travel for team members cost-effectively.
* Managing access cards and maintaining records.
* Supporting operational needs for onsite or offsite events.
* Performing ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
Main Requirements for the Successful HR & Operations Administrator
* At least 2 years of HR experience.
* Understanding of employment law.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially during difficult conversations.
* Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
* Proactive and independent work ethic.
* Maintaining confidentiality and handling private matters sensitively.
* Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
