Job Description:
The post holder will assist the Service Manager in developing, coordinating and delivering high-quality services within a healthcare setting.
They will act as a conduit between the Service Manager and front-line clinical teams, translating organisational objectives into operational reality and leading their implementation across specialties of responsibility.
The post holder will liaise closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve communication channels, maximise resource utilisation and promote continuity and coordination of services within their sphere of influence.
On a rota basis, they will take on operational responsibility for the whole organisation as 'Manager of the Day', while also joining a Senior Manager on Call rota for crisis management.
Key responsibilities include championing and supporting team members, implementing corporate initiatives, providing leadership and inspiring staff to improve patient care and experience.
Staff development and practice improvement are also key priorities, working closely with educational and training facilities to drive excellence.
The post holder will engage with the wider community to promulgate best practice and represent the organisation in regional working groups for specialty and service developments.
