Grundfos Manufacturing in Sunderland is seeking a talented and experienced Engineer to Order (ETO) Design Engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for specifying and designing bespoke pumping solutions for offsite build to meet customer needs in Building Services, Water Utilities, and Industry. You will also develop professional relationships with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include fulfilling customer enquiries, providing technical and cost information to support sales and delivery, managing product specification development, and supporting production and support departments with accurate information such as drawings, bills of materials, and line-side guidance.
* Support quick cost and sizing estimation of project orders.
* Manage Engineer to Order pumping projects from enquiry to delivery and commissioning, ensuring project requirements are met.
* Create general arrangement designs from customer specifications, including P&ID.
* Support Project Fulfilment Manager with project control.
* Coordinate project requirements and expedite actions across Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and external stakeholders for complex orders.
* Develop and improve Grundfos’ project order processes.
* Support the implementation and development of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in mechanical or structural engineering preferred, or a minimum of ONC in a related discipline with relevant experience.
* Experience in delivering engineered products and services; automotive or pumping solutions experience is advantageous.
* Experience in new product introduction or project delivery with a strong commitment to meeting or exceeding commitments.
* Proficiency with a leading 2/3D CAD package; Catia and Revit are advantageous.
* Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, such as SAP, is desirable.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.
